Autumn Hill Academy Play Ground & Parking Lot Cleaning

Autumn Hill Academy in Vaughan contacted us after noticing water pooling on their playground and in the parking lot following moderate rain. With students and parents using these areas daily, proper drainage was a safety priority.

The Problem

Multiple catch basins across the school’s playground and parking lot had accumulated significant sediment, leaves, and debris over several seasons without professional cleaning. Water was pooling in low spots, creating slip hazards and standing water that attracted mosquitoes.

Our Approach

We deployed our vacuum truck during a weekend to avoid disrupting school activities. Our crew systematically cleaned every catch basin on the property, removing packed sediment and organic debris from each sump, then flushing the connecting pipes to ensure full flow.

The Result

All catch basins were restored to full capacity. The playground and parking lot now drain properly after rain, eliminating the standing water issue. We set the school up on a bi-annual maintenance schedule to prevent future buildup.
