Catch Basin Cleaning in Car Dealership

A car dealership in the GTA contacted us about persistent drainage problems in their service bay and display lot. Their trench drain was barely functioning, and several catch basins in the customer parking lot were overflowing during rain.

The Problem

Car dealerships face unique drainage challenges. The service bay generates oil, brake fluid, and coolant runoff that accumulates in trench drains. The display lot and customer parking areas collect road salt, tire debris, and sediment from constant vehicle movement. This dealership had not had professional drainage cleaning in over two years.

Our Approach

We started with the service bay trench drain, using hydrovac jetting to break up and remove hardened oil deposits. Then we moved to the outdoor catch basins, pumping out heavy sediment and debris from each one. The connecting pipes between basins were flushed to clear partial blockages.

The Result

The service bay trench drain was restored to full flow, and all outdoor catch basins were cleared. The dealership noticed an immediate improvement during the next rain event — no more pooling on the display lot or customer parking area. They now have us on a quarterly maintenance schedule.
