Leslie Centre Plaza Parking Lot Catch Basin Cleaning

The property management company for Leslie Centre Plaza in Vaughan — a busy retail plaza anchored by RBC and Freshco — reached out after customers complained about water pooling across the parking lot during rain.

The Problem

The plaza’s parking lot had over a dozen catch basins that had not been cleaned in over a year. Heavy foot and vehicle traffic, combined with nearby tree cover, had filled the basins with sediment, leaves, gravel, and trash. Several basins were completely blocked at the grate level.

Our Approach

We scheduled the work for early morning before peak business hours. Our crew cleared grate-level blockages, then used our vacuum truck to pump out each basin. For basins with compacted debris, we deployed high-pressure water jetting to break up the material before extraction.

The Result

All catch basins were fully restored. The property management company reported no further pooling complaints after subsequent rain events. They enrolled the property in our quarterly maintenance program to prevent recurrence.
